His Excellency Julius Maada Wonie Bio
His Excellency Julius Maada Wonie Bio is the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Sierra Leone.
On March 16th 2023, H.E Julius Maada Wonie Bio was inaugurated as the 5th Patron of the Sierra Leone Red Cross Society following his election as President in April of the same year.
This is in line with the Society’s Constitution which provides that the sitting head of state shall be Patron of the Society

Rev. Bishop Sahr Christian Fayia
Rev. Bishop Sahr Christian Fayia is a dedicated humanitarian and role model currently serving as the President of the Sierra Leone Red Cross Society. Committed to improving the welfare of vulnerable populations, he leverages his role as a seasoned cleric and advocate for peace to promote the core principles of the Red Cross Movement.
His extensive involvement in community outreach programs has positioned him as a key figure in fostering resilience among those affected by crises.
With a vision focused on collaboration, inclusivity, and sustainable development, Rev. Bishop Fayia ensures that the Sierra Leone Red Cross remains a vital force in national recovery efforts, embodying the values of service and compassion that inspire others to engage in humanitarian work.
